Studio 4 Athletics Story
Meet Ev, marketing manager at Studio 4 Athletics located in the heart of downtown Victoria.
Ev has been working at this fantastic “gym” for over a year now and left Vancouver just to work with the awesome folk here at Studio 4 Athletics.
They opened their doors in March 13 years ago, offering Capoeira classes. (They now have one of the worlds strongest capoeira academies, teaching kids 3+ and adults) Not long after the initial opening, the upstairs room became available, and Kevin (who is a passionate capoeira teacher) and Darcy (who practices Martial arts and ballroom dancing) joined forces and decided to open a gym together. The studio got its name due to the four tiny rooms they started out with, which by now has grown into a 15,000 square foot facility.
Studio 4 Athletics is an amazing fitness facility nestled in the heart of downtown Victoria. Within the walls of this modern and beautifully restored heritage building, you will find a wide array of fitness classes, personal trainers and work out space.
Other than most gyms in Victoria, Studio 4 Athletics can be viewed as a social club, where you go to hang out, have fun, workout and sweat together.
They offer plenty of different courses and classes such as Strength Training, Personal Training, Fitness Kickboxing, Boot Camp, Capoeira, Afro-Brazilian Dance, Yoga, Spin and a multitude of diverse group exercise classes.
Along with offering all those incredible classes and courses, Studio 4 Athletes is extremely involved with the local community. They host annual fundraisers like their Fight 4 The Cause Charity Boxing, (2017 was the 6th in a row) where they raised $50,000 for local charity organizations in 2017 alone. (Yes, you read that correctly $50,000.00!)
It takes a lot of amazing people to make a charitable event like Fight 4 the Cause Charity Boxing this successful. It is amazing to see how Studio 4 has managed to bring everyone together over the years to support local charities and community initiatives. To show their appreciation for every one of you who made the event such a success, they will be holding a special awards ceremony on February 15th at 7 pm at the Commons. This month, they are offering a Valentine’s day giveaway for their members.
