Down to earth nursery’s Story
Just in time for the holiday season we met with the wonderful people at Down to earth nursery, where we learned about their awesome Christmas workshops and the incredible selection of premium cut and live Christmas trees here in Victoria BC.
If you feel like you need a little help getting into the Christmas spirit this year, make sure to add down to earth nursery to your list of places to go. Whether you go as a group to one of their table center, Christmas wreath or kissing ball workshops or bring the whole family to find some live or cut Christmas trees while the kids get some hot coco and take some pictures with the Grinch, you will not want to miss out on this Christmas tradition.
“A lot of the cut trees that the big box stores have are trucked in from Nova Scotia. We get our trees here in BC.”
Workshops
If you are looking for something to do as a Christmas work function or simply want to get into the spirit with a group of your friends, you have to take part in one of the workshops down to earth nursery is offering until December 15th.
This year you can choose between a Wreath, kissing ball or table center workshop. The classes are held twice a day during the weekend and can accommodate 5 – 20 people and are an amazing way to get into the holiday spirit.
Christmas Trees
Having a Christmas tree in your home during the holiday season, decorating it with your loved ones and creating memories under the tree is a must in many households these days.
That is why buying a live Christmas tree should be on your to do list this year. Yes, you will have to water it through out the season and it is quite a bit heavier than a cut Christmas tree (but do not worry down to earth nursery can deliver them to your home) but it is much better for the environment, it is not much more expensive than a cut tree and you get to plant your tree in your back yard. Which is not only amazing because you can see your Christmas tree all year round, but it can also serve as a memorial aspect as well. And it does not have to be a 6 ft tree either. Down to earth nursery offers many different types, shapes and sizes, accommodating all sizes of homes.

If you are looking to buy one of their many Christmas trees, make sure to stop by until December 21st. They are open every night during the week till 7 pm and on the weekends till 5 pm.
