Truffles Express Catering’s Story
Meet Brittany Unwin from Truffles Express Catering, a market leading branch from Truffles Catering.
Truffles Catering is Victoria’s leading professional caterer for corporate events, weddings, office requirements, social occasions and celebrations.
Locally owned and operated, the Truffles Group was founded by Don Calveley in 1990 and has been advancing Vancouver Island’s hospitality, tourism and beverage retail industries for over 25 years.
Brittany has been the head of the Express Catering department since December of last year.
And with the mission to incorporate catering that is locally-sourced, cooked fresh and absolutely delicious she is conquering meeting rooms one lunch at a time.
Brittany’s focus is to help make everyone’s day easier and more delicious. Whether it be Boardroom meetings, staff lunches, corporate events or even open houses, she will ensure the process is simple, consistent and of the highest quality.
And just imagine how much more enticed a potential house buyer would be after having a few heavenly bites while perusing through their potential dream home. (Everything is better with yummy food in sight. Just saying ?)
As of right now, you can enjoy Truffles Express Catering anywhere between Sidney, the Saanich Peninsula, Langford, and downtown Victoria.
But let’s talk a little more about the other branches of Truffles Catering.
There are six market-leading brands that the Truffles Group has included in their 25 years of service.
They are all built on a foundational commitment to their core values and include
Truffles Catering, Canoe Brewpub and Marina, Cascadia Liquor (seven locations), Habitat Catering, Sequoia Coastal Coffee and Victoria Butterfly Gardens.
While the Express Catering part of Truffles focuses on smaller events, Truffles Catering caters to larger events like weddings, big corporate events or parties, birthday parties etc.
So, you know that no matter the size of your event, Truffles Catering has you covered.
As another incredible contribution (apart from providing us all with locally sourced and freshly cooked food) they have partnered with local community’s.
This year they have partnered with the BCHF (BC Hospitality foundation), Hero Work (Radical Renovations), Life Cycles, Local Animal Rescue Shelters, Local Soup Kitchens, Power to be, Nature Conservancy Of Canada and Surfrider.
Last year alone they were able to raise over $27.000 for their local community partners across their group of companies. That is one impressive number if I might say so!
Furthermore, they have the highest certification level from the Vancouver Island Green Business Certification Program. They use locally sourced, and sustainable ingredients wherever possible and use suppliers of Ocean Wise products.
