Hide + Seek’s Story

Meet Jesse and Jamie, owners of Hide + Seek Coffee located on beautiful Oak Bay Ave, Victoria BC.

Jesse and Jamie opened their doors to the public in November 2015 after renovating an old antique shop and turning it into one of Victoria’s finest coffee shops.
Ever since they where Teenagers (Yes, they are Highschool sweethearts) they had the dream of opening their own coffee shop and after years of working in the coffee industry finally made their dream a reality in 2015.

Share My Story Hide and Seek

If you have ever been to Hide + Seek you know what I speak of when I say this is the place to be if you are in need of being around some happy people who know how to make a mean cup of Joe. Or tea for that matter. Amazing music, singing and dancing, the smell of coffee lingering in the air and homemade Poptarts fresh out of the oven welcome you the second you set foot into this beautiful coffee shop. When we asked the J’s what they loved most about their shop they said,

“We love being able to interact with people every day, leaving them a little happier than they were before and drinking delicious coffee that we sourced from all over North America.”

It is truly fascinating to me how one taste of a properly made good coffee will turn you into a coffee “connoisseur”. I always thought sure you can taste the difference between a light and a dark roast, but no way can I taste Berry, Nut, Chocolate or Citrus Notes in my coffee.

Well let me tell you, after trying out different beans from different roasters made by one of Hide + Seek staff members, you WILL be able to notice a difference and it WILL change your taste for coffee forever. Only for the better in my experience ????

So, if you are looking to Hideout or Seek friends while listening to some epic music, eating a delicious home-made goody and drinking a perfectly made and served cup of coffee, this is the place you need to be.
And if you are lucky you might even see their adorable kids running around with cookies in hand and a milk mustache on their happy little face.
