Club Kwench’s Story

We had the amazing opportunity to meet and chat with Tessa, owner of the beloved Club Kwench a co-working space/culture club in Victoria BC.

With distinct spaces to cater to your focus mood or event, they provide services such as local coffee and tea, super high-speed wifi, printing facilities, bike storage, meeting rooms, they will show you how rich a coworking community can be.

Share My Story Club Kwench

I’d like to start by sharing with you what Kwench stands for. (I’m sure that some of you have wondered about this just like we did?)
Tessa explained to us that Kwench is based on providing happiness for people. It’s the belief that happiness comes from a balance of 6 things (knowledge, wellness, experiences, novelty, curiosity and connection) bringing health and happiness.
She described that it is for people who want more in their life, have a thirst for more and don’t want the status quo. It is for people who want to learn and be engaged and part of something bigger than themselves.
Who of you would have thought that there was so much power and passion in this name alone?
It really shows what Tessa has envisioned for her day club. A place where we can be ourselves, gain valuable connections and feel like we are part of a close-knit community, all while being able to work more productively as well as working out.

Tessa is a passionate believer that the more connections we can make, the more we feel like we are part of something. That when we feel like we are part of something, we become healthier and more productive. In turn, we will see communities being safer and people coming together to help each other and coming together as one so no one falls through the cracks.

Kwench isn’t the first community she has brought together. Tessa has worked with and helped many communities to thrive. She also brought the Kwench Choir to live (a Choir for family’s, children and adults), started the Watershed (a coworking space here in Victoria) and united people through her previous singing career. (She used to be a singer/songwriter)
Tessa also loves to support the arts and many different women initiatives here in Victoria, which help empower women and ensure women’s safety. But let me tell you a little bit more about Club Kwench and the visions behind it. Club Kwench has been opened for about five months now and is already about to expand. The plan is to move to a 25.000-foot location in Victoria by the end of the year. From there she plans to expand to Vancouver then Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa and for Kwench to eventually become THE work & lifestyle club for Canadians.

Co-working really is THE new way of working! It’s a fact that your productivity will go up and your loneliness will go down! (And did I mention yet that you will make lots of valuable connections that may even result in giving you job referrals?)
Another great benefit is that you won’t have to sign a 5-year lease and come up with a bunch of startup money but only sign up for a month to month commitment. Just to give you a few incentives to try out Club Kwench. ;)
And if you are not ready to join the fun right of the gate, Tessa offers a free trial day, where you can spend a day at the Club and see for yourself how incredibly beneficial this will be for you and your business.
Right now, Club Kwench is hosting a promotion where you save 10% if you sign up for six months.

So, if we got you all sorts of intrigued, make sure you check them out or even better yet, stop by their location, and I’m sure you will find yourself convinced this is the best way for you and your business to grow.
